Meet the IMPACT! Sound

Four vinyl obsessives, DJs, artists and sound system builders: DuMp-TrUcK, Hep Greg, King Cory and The Grand Yoni. We play original 45s from the golden era of reggae on our hand-built, 18,000-watt sound system. Our roots are in Jamaican music, but the crates go deep into soul, funk and beyond.

When we’re not behind the decks, we’re putting on events, hosting the radio show on XRAY FM and raising money for causes we care about. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the music is the point, and so is the community around it.

Since 2008 it’s been about connecting people across genres, giving the music the respect it deserves, and having a hell of a time doing it.
